What is bullying?
Bullying is being mean to another kid over and over again. Bullying often includes teasing, spreading rumors, or leaving kids out on purpose.
What can kids do?
Treat everyone with respect.
Protect yourself
Stand up for others
In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month, we are encouraging our community to join in one, several, or all of the following efforts:
1) Help kids understand bullying
Talk about what bullying is and let kids know it is unacceptable. Make sure kids know how to get help.
2) Be an Upstander, not a bystander
An Upstander is someone who takes action when they witness bullying. Even one person’s support can make a big difference for someone who is being bullied.
3) Write to Logan
Logan is the October 2023 Friend Mail Recipient at Be A Friend Project. Logan’s letters are due by Monday, October 30! (Specific details about Logan, and how to write to him, are below.)
