For the Junior, Teen, and Adult students, this is testing week. We will be operating on a slightly modified schedule.
All Knee High Ninja Classes remain the same this week.
Monday:
All Ninja Classes are on normal schedule.
White and Gold Belt Juniors will be COMBINED at 6:30 on Floor B.
The 6:45 Black belt class is RESCHEDULED to 5:30pm.
Tuesday:
There is NO TESTING on Tuesday.
All Classes including Cardio Kickboxing will continue as normally scheduled.
Wednesday:
All Ninja Classes are on normal schedule.
The 6:45 Junior Orange and Green Belt Class formerly canceled is ON!
All Adults will be COMBINED on Floor B.
All other Junior, Teen, and Adult classes remain the same Wed.

All Ninja and Junior classes as regularly scheduled.
The 6:45 Adult Class is CANCELED. Adults are welcome to attend the Family
classes.

Starting May 27, students can now wear their Jhoon Rhee T-Shirt instead of their uniform top to class until Sept. 3. This must be a “Jhoon Rhee” school T-shirt and can be either either this years shirt or any from years past. Please tuck your T-Shirt in your uniform pants when attending class. An image the new 2013 T-Shirts is shown below.
We had 55 students pass their belt test and graduate to the next rank including the following who passed with Outstanding Marks:

Also, Peter Godfrey (Purple Belt) was recognized as our Most Improved Student. Congratulations, everyone!
Our next belt testing will be the week of June 17 with the Graduation Ceremony being held on June 21. Potential candidates will be notified via email.
Our Super Challenge Tournament is Saturday June 1, 2013. This is our biggest event of the year. There will be hundreds of competitors from local schools competing for individual awards and the Super Challenge Cup for their school. Students can compete in Forms, Weapons and Fighting divisions. Please visit the Super Challenge Website at www.superchallengetkd.com to obtain more information and to register. Registration ends Wednesday, May 29.

Thanks to your help, we collected 2090 books in our book drive for “Books For America” last week! Thank you to everyone who brought in books and a special thanks to the Verderame Family for leading and coordinating this initiative!
We will be hosting a week long book drive to support Books for America, a non-profit based in Washington, DC. We will be collecting new and used books of all types immediately following Spring Break, starting Monday, April 1 through Saturday, April 6.
The mission of Books for America is to promote literacy, life-long learning and understanding by distributing donated books of all types to organizations serving disadvantaged communities and individuals. You can learn more about Books for America by visiting their site at www.booksforamerica.org.

Jhoon Rhee Arlington will be closed from March 25th through March 30th for Spring Break. Our last day of classes will be Saturday, March 23rd. Classes will resume Monday, April 1st.
The Jhoon Rhee Arlington Staff will take this time for staff in-house training and school upgrades.
